All new patient referrals will be scheduled for an initial consultation with Dr Cummins. This first appointment is important, as it allows our team to review your medical history and develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

Yes, please complete the online patient referral form. 

While this new practice is being established, Hobart Special Care Dental is ONLY accepting referrals for complex medical conditions, including but not limited to:

• Bleeding disorders (e.g., Hemophilia)
• Head and neck cancer (pre-, peri-, and post-radiotherapy/chemotherapy)
• Antiresorptive therapy (e.g., Denosumab, bisphosphonates)
• Organ transplants (solid and stem cell)
• Cardiac conditions (e.g., dental clearance)
• Complex medical conditions and/or polypharmacy
• Neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease)
• Dental anxiety and phobia
• Aged care and geriatric needs
• Psychiatric conditions

In the near future, we aim for Hobart Special Care Dental to serve all individuals with special needs, including disabilities. These services will start once the facilities and equipment have been developed sufficiently.

Yes, there is an OPG machine onsite.
